I appreciate your point. It's a good data point for me and I'll take it to heart. I don't write press releases or hire PR consultants. I don't try to create a voice in my writing. I write exactly as I speak. This style is the same I used on humbledMBA.com for the past two years. I view my audience as entrepreneurs (both on humbledMBA and for 42Floors). There will certainly be some that don't like my style, but I've chosen to error on side of being myself. It may turn some off, but not being myself would get us nowhere. With that said, if what I say inappropriately offends you or anyone else, I would take that quite seriously and use it as reason to reevaluate how I interact with people.
