I feel like Disney made it out of this ok. They are going to get a lot more signups on their ad supported tier and they still get the per user on the channels.

I feel like Disney made it out of this ok. They are going to get a lot more signups on their ad supported tier and they still get the per user on the channels. This whole business is a sinking ship the question is where the life rafts are going.
- SOLAR_FIELDS 3y agoHard to feel sorry for Charter, pioneers of the model that sold the idea of ad-free television to viewers 50 years ago and slowly squeezed the American populace into a money extraction machine motivated by pure greed. If the entire business of both companies burned in a hellfire the entire world would probably be better off. There’s enough content in the world elsewhere to make up for it.
