There's a good chance Brexit would not have happened if the vote was done today, simply because of old people dying off (most over 65 voted for, most under 35 voted against). It does look like a lot of climate legislation is facing similar situations, where the boomer generation is voting opposite to younger generations. In both cases it's frustrating because the younger generations are the ones that will have to deal with the consequences of laws they did not agree with.
