I support an individual’s right to spend their money as they choose but I find the constant advertisements for gambling to be pretty gross.

- PaulHoule 3y agoThere is a lot of backlash in the UK and Australia. I remember reading that watching a Premier league football (soccer) game you would see 3000+ gambling related images. (Note a soccer game is not interrupted for commercial breaks except during the halfs so this is ads around the pitch, ads on the shirts, graphics, etc.) Also there are concerns around gambling addiction (like the addict who stole $700,000 from our bus company) and also match fixing (with scandals in both NBA and college basketball in living memory.)
