I've used a dishwasher since the 1980's and in my eyes they have only gotten better. I find dishwashers to be one of the most amazing, labor saving and environmentally friendly advancements of modernity. I love dishwashers. More specifically, with the earlier dishwashers I had to really scrub the dishes before I put them in. This is still important as I don't like getting leftover cat food on my coffee mugs, but the extent I have to do it is significantly less. Nowadays I scrape my plates into the trash and just put them in the dishwasher. Whereas for the first dishwasher my parents had in the 1980's you really had to scrub dishes clean before loading them. They've only gotten better in my experience. I really don't understand what this article is complaining about?
