The only time I've felt Edge was forced on my was MS Teams has its own browser binding and defaulted to Edge. Otherwise? The system-level "firefox is my browser" seems to be working fine.
- fuzzfactor 3y agoI just got Teams autoinstalled without warning on an earlier version of W11 for which it was not present. Promptly uninstalled it since I have no use for Teams. I don't think Windows is very suitable for the internet anyway, but I really did like last year's Edge for its built-in PDF handler. That's all I used Edge for, certainly not browsing the web, but for some reason I connected anyway and in came Teams. Now that the excellent old Edge PDF reader has been replaced by a built-in Adobe joint effort, Edge is now more useless than ever.
