Try to shoehorn it to do more higher level stuff (i.e: vast majority of software developed today), And you'll be fighting battles with the language at each step. For those use cases, Java, JavaScript, Python et al will reign supreme for many years to come. Most of the time, GC stalls are the least of your problems.
