After going through 3 typical dishwashers in less than that many years, I decided to try a high end one to see if was any different. I researched and Bosch and Miele seemed to be rated high for reliability. I picked Miele 5 years ago and damn, this thing is a tank. I do 2 loads a day and it cleans as well as the first day I bought it still.

- peepee1982 3y agoDon't know about dishwashers. But I recently tried to repair a washing machine from LG and in the process learned that Miele machines are considered to be very reliable and fixable.
- drzaiusx11 3y agoNot sure what failure modes other folks encounter, but the pumps on my LG, whirlpool and Samsung all died <1yr. Not only that, none of them actually cleaned after the first week or so, instead they just did a poor rinse job and then baked whatever residue was still there onto the dish surface.
