Good luck finding a US ‘climate haven’ away from heat and disaster risks

For those worried about the climate crisis you can feel some relief. Everything you've ever been told by the media has turned out to be a lie so far. Just live your life and don't get swept up in their current round of bullshit.

Ignorance is bliss and all that I suppose. Right up until you go broke and homeless from uninsured natural disasters that were predicted 50 years ago.

Alaska is the new hotness. Or, at least it will be in 10-50 years.

Coastal Washington is also well positioned to be a climate haven, though it would need to proactively plan for an influx of people as it's a bunch of small towns, national parks and rural areas. The ties between Coastal Washington and Southern Alaska could also stand to be strengthened.

I run a sub for trying to foster better information for people wanting to take temporary or seasonal jobs in Alaska. Alaska needs teachers, truckers and seasonal workers for the fishing industry. I think there is substantial room for helping both Alaska and other parts of the PNW to address their various needs by improving connections and information flow. I just don't know how to singlehandedly architect it or I would be starting various businesses rooted in that goal.

I'm unsure what your current goals are, but perhaps consider a role in one of these orgs when the time is right to align with this mission: https://www.commerce.alaska.gov/web/ https://www.commerce.alaska.gov/web/ https://aedcweb.com/ https://aedcweb.com/ If you're in the Washington area, there is a Seattle office of the US Economic Development Administration: https://www.eda.gov/archives/2016/contact/#seattle https://www.eda.gov/archives/2016/contact/#seattle Wishing you the best in this endeavor.
