How do you define these "top engineers" without using the fact that they work in big tech (or passed a big tech interview)? It seems kind of circular otherwise.
- greatpostman 3y agoI’ve worked at two faangs and seen it with my own eyes. The engineers are way better than at other companies. Especially the highly tenured ones
- tester756 3y agoHighly skilled - expert understanding of their stack and very strong understanding of whole cs / whole stack(hw, fw, sw) / how computers work, etc Significant experience - e.g >15 years across various projects/companies/teams Mature Responsible Curious Reasonable - uses pros and cons when evaluating solutions, not the latest stuff on his favourite software evangelist's blog
