Ozempic, Wegovy may curb drinking, smoking and other addictive behaviors
- asimpleusecase 3y agoThis news has been around for awhile. Seems to be quite a buzz among longevity startups that these could be the first true longevity drugs as they can extend healthy lifespan. In one respect they could validate the idea of a longevity drug, but also prove to be the dread first mover as they are approved and in the market well ahead of anybody be else. Could be very interesting if side effects remain minor and the drug proved safe enough to use in many other interventions.

- h2odragon 3y agoAll sorts of wonderful benefits will accrue and require more study up until the patents expire and generic versions come on the market. Then there will be another news cycle about all the negative side effects and how these drugs are too dangerous to be on the market and so on. Just guessing. These things keep happening.
