- anigbrowl 3y agoNot true. Please contemplate how this works out for an actually honest person subject to a false accusation.
- pixl97 3y agoHow it works out for an honest person? They commonly go to jail. Just ask Michael Morton.
- tennisflyi 3y agoPerhaps some subtlety was needed and “everyone” is too large of a swath but judges are not dolling our perjury charges a dime a dozen and taking the stand doesn’t make some just answer carte blanche.
- tennisflyi 3y agoFrom the horse's mouth in a current trial as of this post, https://youtu.be/8adXCmoFPEU?t=5096 https://youtu.be/8adXCmoFPEU?t=5096 (FL v. Johnathan Quiles). "The fact that a witness is employed by law enforcement is just another witness. No better. No worse than anybody else that's going to take the stand. And you, ladies and gentlemen, will determine the truthfulness, the veracity, and the weight of the evidence, and the testimony they're are going to be giving to you."
