Interesting. I am new to the space and have never been exposed to the main alternatives you mention in the Readme. Here's my thoughts after taking 5 minutes through the doc:
I was interested by the "data" part of the framework that is mentioned in the tagline. I saw live updates, fast sync of data with the front-end.. that all seems nice and solves a real problem..
Do you have more advanced examples on hooking up a live streaming data feed and building dashboards over that live data?
I looked through the readme and documentation and all I found was an example about incrementing a counter when you click a button.
The bird changing hue was also a bit worrisome. In a sense it's great that it refreshed fast, but then it mentions it's refreshed by a timer? We clearly see a slider widget being manipulated, that means it should be changing a value in state and the UI should refresh when that value changes.. why is the timer needed?
- ramedina86 3y agoIn the example that you mention, the dataframe underneath is being refreshed by a Timer. The slider and the bird are independent from it. I agree that this isn't very clear if it's the first time you're looking at Streamsync.
