  Well one time I broke a tooth. Using my little Japanese/English phrase book I told the concierge at my hotel who took me to a local dentist. The dentist whacked a temporary filling in and via the concierge's rudimentary English told me to get it fixed when I got home. The only thing he said to me directly, and with no trace of an accent mind you, was, "Open wide, please."
