There's demonstrably intelligent and then there's obsession about "proving" measurements of it (MENSA etc). There is some overlap, but the latter seems to originate from insecurities. Interestingly, wealth potential is positively correlated with self-control, which, in turn, is correlated to large degree with intelligence, and then again correlated with more mental health concerns.
