Ex-Apple employee files RICO lawsuit over whistleblower retaliation
- fmajid 3y agoRICO is an extremely powerful statute, which is probably whit it's being used as a form of intimidation to force Apple to a settlement, but it's not at all applicable, even if Apple did engage in retaliation (a fairly plausible claim). RICO is meant to take down the Mafia and other organizations that participate in literal racketeering. It's been abused by the Feds, but a private individual is not going to get much traction from that line of argument.
