I completely understand where the author is coming from. I tried to go serverless but the drawbacks are so big that it was a lot easier to scale up my Laravel stack. There are bottlenecks everywhere in tech but bottleneck during development are the worst of them all.

Totally agree but this is improving. SST makes life super easy compared to the Serverless Framework but managing it on your own really sucks. That said, even with SST it’s hard to beat PHP (or other languages) for DX.
