Why didn't they hire the allotted offers then implement a more aggressive PIP? Asking from a place of genuine curiosity, I don't know how this stuff works at this level. But seems to me it would have saved reputation to trickle-cull the salary cost center instead of doing this so vocally.
- roland35 3y agoIt's probably better to just avoid onboarding new employees and all the ramp-up time associated with that. Although this is basically what a lot of other companies seem to be doing now sadly.

- janosdebugs 3y agoI don't know about this specific case, but when a lot of people get sent on a PIP for BS reasons, that may a) incur lawsuits and b) demoralize their colleagues.
