tbf.. all YC hiring posts have their comments disabled..
- deaddodo 3y agoI hate this, actually. I think it's fair to be able to comment on companies that are using the platform to advertise, in case there are things that need to be know. Even reddit lets you comment on advertising posts.
- roflyear 3y agoHN companies have a history of breaking labor laws - I have noticed several times that posts hiring in NYC for example do not include salary ranges, which is required by law. It is not surprising.
- minimaxir 3y agoGenerally there wouldn't be any positive comments on an advertising post.

- deaddodo 3y agoOK, and? I don't care if Flexport offers foosball. I do care if 20 people say "I was hired, and they pulled my offer three days before my start date."
- StressedDev 3y agoHow do you know those people are telling the truth or even people? Remember, there is a lot of astroturf on the Internet. A good way to spot corporate astroturf is to watch which companies have people who defend them no matter what they do. Another tip is look for companies which are bashed even when they do great work. That is a sign one of their competitors is paying for astroturf.
