I've been using Wayland on Manjaro/Sway for the last 6 months. Zero issues beyond figuring out the new way of doing things. As a former X11 application developer I will say that X11 should have been put out to pasture a long time ago. It's been moribund since the 00s and the quicker that distributions move to Wayland only, the quicker Wayland will improve.
