Greater focus is put into fewer projects to develop a stronger ecosystem and engineering culture [...] A hopeful sign might be stuff like PCI compliance: major impact on velocity, money wasted on consultants, brain-dead training and project managers, but also much less catastrophes than what might have been. But it's just as likely it goes the SLA-way, where promises and legal documents paint some desirable level of control that in reality does not exist, just because asses need covering.
