We know it's not worth taking Musk's statements as honest so let's lay that aside. It's quite worrying how far towards "There's a shadowy cabal of Jews out to get me" he's coming. I think you can argue about how he phrased it as to whether what he said is just direct anti-semitism, but I think that's pretty academic because this is just part of a longer worrying direction and whether this was anti-semitic or not, it's kind of like well it doesn't matter because I'm fairly sure the next thing will be worse...
- johngladtj 3y agoYou understand that it's possible that is an accurate description of what's happening, right?
- SilverBirch 3y agoIt's possible in a "anything could happen" kind of way, but given that Musk has repeatedly and brazenly lied about pretty much everything I'm not sure why anyone would give him the benefit of the doubt for a claim he needs to prove.
- thefurdrake 3y agoWhat is possibly an accurate description of what's happening? I'd like you to say it.
- tenpies 3y agoIt's a land mine ridden topic, but Elon has the finesse of a monster truck. The ADL, like many non-profits these days, seems to be rotting from the inside. If I were ADL leadership, renewal and a return to the original mission would be my main focus, but it would have been for a while now. Musk is just the latest critic, but we cannot forget the Drop the ADL campaign from 2020. That was a left-wing campaign and very influential Leftist organisations like the DSA were willing to sign it [1]. --- [1] https://droptheadl.org/signatories/ https://droptheadl.org/signatories/
