But about under performers, it has an exception for movies that did under a specific amount of entries, for them the timeline is shorter but still there : you can pull it out of theaters the day right after the release, but you'll still need to wait a (shorter) time to release it on disc. This law made Disney release (at least one) movie only on Disney+ in France, bypassing theaters.
