In case of scientific publications maybe there are many different "sources", and for searching purposes it is better to have the original title, you are right in that. I don't get what you mean before it, but I don't think I want or can argue about it. I just generally prefer edited submission titles, for example in this submission or in a benchmark result page, or such.
