So 2022 US ad revenue was 2.4 billion, and he said that would be down 60% in 2023. So roughly 1 billion in US revenue.
He also said they were on track to post 3 billion in revenue for the year.
Advertising revenue from outside the US was 2 billion in 2022.
This would mean that advertising revenue from outside the US hasn’t been affected anywhere near as significantly as US advertising revenue.
If twitter’s usefulness or value as an advertising platform had decreased that significantly, wouldn’t we be seeing a significant decrease in all advertising revenue, and not just from the US?

- Zetobal 3y agoAll the scam and crypto/AI-hustler ads are usually booked from outside the US.
- londons_explore 3y agoI'm not sure that's true. Plenty of crypto-rug pulls have a veneer of legitimacy by being based in the USA
- Zetobal 3y agoBased in the USA ≠ paying for your ADs from an US account.
