- rypskar 3y agoDiscs flying apart is most of the time from wrong usage, bending the disc while cutting or bending a disc by using a cutting disk for grinding and applying to much force. I did work as a mechanic for some years and have used angle grinder for hobbies 20+ years since, and have never seen a disc fly apart. (Still remember to always use safety goggles and hearing protection while using a grinder)
