Ask HN: Why has Wolfram Alpha, “Math Coprocessor of AI” not been acquired yet?

- sf4lifer 3y agoBecause Stephen Wolfram is a billionaire who knows what he's sitting on
- andrewstuart 3y agoI asked OpenAI for a calculation the other day, and after a very sophisticated explanation of how to calculate something, it gave me a completely incorrect answer. Seems to me that the future of AI depends on being able to do solid math. Thus Wolfram Alpha becomes a perfect acquisition target to become the math brain that language oriented AI is missing. In the AI gold rush why is Wolfram Alpha left on the shelf?
