I wonder if there are any copies of the "OEM Adaptation Kit" in the wild. Would be neat to be able to get this running on a not-IBM-compatable 8086 machine.

  There's a copy of a MS-DOS 3.x kit around in the wild, yes. I think it might be 3.2, but I'm not sure. When I say "in the wild" I obviously mean "yo ho ho and a bottle of rum"; nothing authorised.
