If the MVP stays in production without further investment, then it's the product, there's nothing minimal about it. That's a decision. If a prototype or PoC is in production though, something's gone wrong. I build my prototypes and PoCs in such a way that they literally can't be in production, which is I think the correct way to build a PoC anyway.
