So funny thing about software prototypes. Time and again a prototype is pushed into production by greedy management seeking immediate returns - and then the actual system is never done.
- michaelcampbell 3y agoIt doesn't matter, but does your post here mean: "So, funny thing about software prototypes." or "SO FUNNY thing about software prototypes." Either is valid, but it struck me that I couldn't exactly divine your intent.
- carrja99 3y agoYeah I read it as the latter myself.
- freitzkriesler2 3y agoYup. Time and time again, the MVP ends up becoming the full production version with zero improvements. I'm glad I moved into hardware development.
- ghusto 3y agoIf the MVP stays in production without further investment, then it's the product, there's nothing minimal about it. That's a decision. If a prototype or PoC is in production though, something's gone wrong. I build my prototypes and PoCs in such a way that they literally can't be in production, which is I think the correct way to build a PoC anyway.
