that "balanced diet" is probably what's killing ppl...
1. no matter what, it's all wrapped in plastics. Unless you have your own garden or buy half an animal in one piece.
2. The ammount of chemicals they put on the fields is astonishing: Pesticides, herbicides, rhodenticides, fungicides - and we have no idea what that does to the gut. Again... unless you have your own garden... some of the stuff won't wash off easily.
2.a Yes, if you eat meat, the cow might have eaten the same stuff as you when you eat veggies. But the cow doesn't get to get old. Most Beef is slaughtered before they get 2.5 years old.
3. Processed: If you eat out anywhere, chances are high they use some kind of "mix with water" powder stuff with all kinds of emulgators and other chemicals to make it taste good.
4. Toxins: Wasn't there something about PFAS that it should be banned but EU won't ban it because of lobbying? What about benzenes in baby powder? That new car smell? Or China air smell when you open a bag that comes from there? Artificial sweeteners like sucralose is genotoxic even in small amounts? What about the observation that most cancers thrive on sugar?
5. Other Micro particles like the stuff they put in "never-wet", has been shown to get stuck in the lung. Everytime a car uses brakes, there's tiny ammounts of metal that gets rubbed off and ends up in the streets. With a big enough magnet, you could probably make some money by collecting them.
I could go on for a while, sorry for the rant. I don't think it's possible to avoid cancer, it's just a consequence of our way of living. Articles like this just muddy the water. You're probably better of smoking these days in big cities, because you're breathing through a filter. Factor could all these chemicals they put into cigarettes, it's not just tobacco (not sure tobacco gets the same treatment with other chemicals as foodstock). The industry just knows the chemicals get ppl addicted, there is probably nothing known about how these interact with each other and the smoker's genes when the tobacco with the chemicals gets burned.
