This is the danger of living somewhere with low salaries but justifying it by low cost of living and robust government welfare.
Once the rug is pulled and cost of living goes up or the government sucks you’re screwed. If you had a high salary you could just pay your way out of this mess yourself.
- dTal 3y agoIf you're making a comparison with the US, there is the severe flaw that not everyone in the US has a high salary either, which means they're extra doubly screwed, and then all the high-salaried people still have to live in a country riddled with the social problems that causes. Then they go on the internet and complain about homeless people in San Francisco.
- xwdv 3y agoYes but there are very few places in this world where you can be a very high salary worker and not be surrounded by people getting crushed in poverty.
