- janderland 3y agoBecause BASH’s string splitting rules, concurrency tools, and variable scoping are nightmarish. I’ve written build scripts in BASH, Python, and JavaScript and can definitely say BASH scripts produced the most difficult bugs. I welcome another option for my glue code.
- zem 3y agowhat we want is to write our bash scripts in not-bash. if your preferred flavour of not-bash is javascript zx will help.
