I'd say bad idea for now. I don't feel like we're yet large enough to really get the most value out of HN. We still see a lot of submissions go without comments, and with all the web apps we have to review these days, we could certainly use a few more people. But if we ever notice quality falling dramatically, it may be time to move to such a model.
