Yep nice piece! (I need to get back to writing for elReg sometime...)
I used to work in the City with as many screens as I wanted (though probably never more than 4), then switched to working on a 13" laptop for many years. I recently lashed out on a second-hand monitor portrait on my tiny home desk, and this thing may fill me out to a similar number of usable visible pixels as in my mis-spent youth!
- lproven 3y agoOh, you are that D-HD! I think we've exchanged emails in the past. :-) I like lots of screens, and in $JOB-1 I was able to have 3 fairly big LCDs that were cast-offs in the office: one landscape in the centre, flanked by 2 portrait screens. That worked very well for me, without too much eye or neck strain. I've yet to find a laptop with such flexibility, though. It's one of several places where desktops still have the edge.
