The problem is that it is already too late now. The fact that you have an API that can write text faster than a machine gun can empty its bullet belt… You don’t need all articles to be “hits”, when you are doing 1,000 per day… having 50-100 get regular clicks is already a net gain.
And this is going to make it so much harder for anyone new to become a successful blogger/writer because Google can always adjust the weighting of old sites vs new sites.
Why trust a new site when someone from a few years ago has the same article and is likely a much more reliable source?
I myself only browse “interesting” sites so bumping into AI content isn’t something I experience but I know it’s out there and it is out there in troves. Even Google News is overrun by sites that spin the same story 24 hours a day after it breaks, and it’s not being dealt with even though Google News policy says you can’t do that.
