I really wouldn't enjoy facing the wall like that. For me, at least half of the fun of a LAN party was direct interaction and visuals from other fellow humans! Also, where do people sleep? Since there is not sufficient space below the tables! I wouldn't want to leave so far from my machine! ;) And of course, it lost some of its appeal when we didn't have to carry around and set up CRTs any more.
