Postgres is also a viable vector store.
- threeseed 3y agoThe point is that Lucene can be embedded in applications. So you don't have another component that you need to cost, integrate, provision, manage, secure, backup etc.
- catlover76 3y agoSorry, I wasn't trying to argue against the post or anything, I was just trying to say that, indeed, a lot of things people already use can do the vector store job, and I'm not sure anymore what the use-case is for something like Pinecone or Chroma (I would genuinely like to know)
