Local kids do use them to get around, which is only an issue when they don’t know the traffic rules or when they’re too small (aside from it being against the TOS). Tourists on Lime scooters riding on sidewalks are a daily (hourly) sight in the center (I go there quite often), especially in the evening. Maybe I’m more sensitive than you, as I said, I’m an escooter rider myself and I care about “our” public image.
