To keep processing requests, you need more than 1 computer. * Two-or-more computers can be fed conflicting information. * Consensus algorithms prevent such conflicts from being accepted by the system. * Raft is one such algorithm. It operates by choosing a leader and then routing all requests via that leader, so that no observers will see a different sequence of requests.
