i think i’ve probably missed out on so many amazing products, but i just immediately lose interest the minute a company demands my personal information before they’ll even tell me a price lol. while demanding my information definitely doesn’t say anything about the quality of their product, it is for sure a red flag about other business practices.

Yes it is annoying, but I would not go so far as to say it indicates poor business practices. Jetbrains is a very well run shop and they treat their customers with a great deal of respect.
