- hilbert42 3y agoWhat a wonderful site. I am not a watchmaker but I developed an interest in clocks and watches at an early age from my grandfather who was a watchmaker and jeweler. I've only spent a short time browsing the site and downloading files so rather than comment about the site's content I'll do so about its presentation. Every scan of a book/text, image and diagram has been meticulously done. It's a great pleasure in seeing someone who takes the scan of old texts seriously. Books are scanned in high resolution, pages are properly cropped and the text carefully centered and straightened so it's parallel with the page edges. Same goes for drawings and maps which are as sharp as a tack. It's delight to behold someone who is not only very knowledgeable about his subject but also who goes about his work with meticulous care.
