I’ve heard investors complain of the exact opposite (well, circa 2012): “is that an app or just a feature?”. Is there an alternate side to this where people want to just sell features? Because that seems like a sure way to pursue product market fit!

    Yep. The most famous case I know of a product that was a feature being redundanted.
