I've been to BM during a rainy event - the playa silt is so fine, that when walking around, it built up layers upon layers on the bottom of your shoes, and pretty soon you were walking around in lifted Disco Mud Boots with like 6 inches of mud on the bottoms of your feet. Was no fun.
