- jprete 3y agoThe ottoman has a much smaller contact surface with the pizza than a coffee cup has with the coffee.
- ta1243 3y agoI get a fair number of pizza takeaways in the UK, and a couple of decades ago delivered many many more. I've have never had such a thing, nor do my pizzas sag. Perhaps UK boxes are tougher?
- noodlesUK 3y agoI suspect that the only pizza boxes that strictly need it are the largest size boxes which are considerably rarer in the UK. For instance the largest size pizza at domino’s uk is 14.5 inches in diameter compared to 16 inches in their US locations. I also think that the corporate chains that are pretty popular here in the uk have reinforced boxes with corners that fold in.
- c22 3y agoIt can be a problem if you stack several boxes.
- gruez 3y agoAs far as I can tell the pizza places near me use regular cardboard, so the threat mentioned in this article (ie. plastic coatings) is a non-issue.
