- maccard 3y agoI grew up in the pre smartphone era, but please don't do this. You are forcing the kid to sign something in a power imbalance. When I was 13-14, I signed a "contract" with my dad that I would write a song for him if he bought me the guitar I wanted. I'm in my 30s and it still haunts me that I never came through on my half of the deal, but playing the guitar is a huge part of my life, probably because of that arrangement.
