Beware the Metagame
- PaulHoule 3y agoHaving been involved with physics, I'm not sure if the hard sciences are really better than psychology. That is, the difficulty of certain problems has ground progress to a halt. I mean, we've known dark matter exists for about 90 years but we've got no real idea what it is. Neutrinos have been deeply mysterious for 60 years and still are. The time gap between developments in high energy theory and their experimental validation is growing, at some point it will be longer than the lifetime of the theorist so you'll never see one get a Nobel Prize.
