How the pocket calculator paved the way for the digital age
- ggm 3y agoThe Sinclair calculator used a small (I want to say 4 bit) CPU software driven rather jankily to do its trig functions. Very badly, very approximately. They didn't reverse (inverse of a function was not remotely close to the origin) The Texas instruments and HP units did much better.
