I sure hope that opentf doesn’t just cause a fragmentation in the ecosystem that ruins the user experience, especially for the many people who are happily using unpaid TF and self hosted state stores.
- cube2222 3y ago> opentf doesn’t just cause a fragmentation We're trying to remain as compatible on all fronts as possible, and our registry will too, so I wouldn't be attributing the fragmentation to OpenTF.
- jitl 3y agoIt’s Hashicorp’s license changes that are causing fragmentation, OpenTF is the effect not the cause.
- candiddevmike 3y agoWhy aren't you interested in switching to OpenTF?
- yuppie_scum 3y agoI never said I wouldn’t. At the end of the day I’ll use whatever is the easiest/best. I’m just hoping not to have to do a bunch of rework.
- kemitchell 3y agoUnabashed voice of the Everyman here. Let them compete.
- prmoustache 3y agoIf there is fragmentation, that will be caused by Hashicorp, not opentf.
