An article by a computer-science teacher published in August 2023 should specify the LLM used. Was the author using the free version of ChatGPT? If so, did he run the same questions by GPT-4, Claude 2, or any of the other LLMs now available? Would those results also leave his students “thrilled and relieved that their skills (for which they pay good tuition dollars) outshined the shiny new kid on the block”? Or, maybe, is the feel-good ending of this story not so justified after all?
